Information is provided by the White Pine Sheriff's office. Information and spellings of names contained in the blotter are as released by the Sheriff's office. Information will not be withheld at the requests of persons whose names appear in the blotter. Permission is not necessary to publish names released by law enforcement. All persons are innocent until convicted in a court of law.


REPORT OF AN ARREST:
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a minor violation.  Contact was made with the driver, identified as 25 year old Ashley Bond, of Wyoming.  It was later discovered Bond had a warrant from another jurisdiction.  Bond was arrested on the warrant without incident.
REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE:
City - officers responded to a domestic disturbance and found 28 year old Ely resident David Hudson used force against his girlfriend and kept her from calling law enforcement.  Officers also learned Hudson was a convicted felon and had not performed the required notification with the Sheriff’s Office.  Hudson was arrested without incident.
REPORT OF AN ANIMAL PROBLEM:
Officers and the Brand Inspector responded to a rural area where a cow had been found shot.  The investigation continues.
REPORT OF FOUND PROPERTY:
City - a debit card was found by a citizen, who turned it in.  The owner was later contacted and the card was returned.
REPORT OF CHILD ABUSE:
City - a mandatory reporter claimed a juvenile had been abused by her father.  The investigation revealed that the father had disciplined the unruly child.  Report unfounded.
REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE:
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance and found the family was only arguing.  All parties agreed to stop arguing.
REPORT OF A DANGER SIGNAL:
City - the officers examined the prefabricated construct, but found nothing anomalistic.  The authoritative being was contacted and said she would reset the tocsin.
REPORT OF AN ARREST:
City - 18 year old Matthew Noriega of Ely, repeatedly provided false information to law enforcement during an investigation.  Noriega was later arrested for obstructing a public officer.
REPORT OF A THEFT:
The reporting party found several personal items missing from a storage unit.  The investigation continues.
REPORT OF A POSSIBLE BURGLARY:
The officer found a vacant office that appeared to have been broken into.  The investigation continues.
REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM:
City - the reporting party claimed her child was out of control.  The officer spoke to the child, who admitted to breaking things and trying to hit his siblings.  A report was completed, which will be submitted to Juvenile Probation.
REPORT OF A PROBLEM WITH A SUBJECT:
City - the reporting party claimed a family member almost hit him with a vehicle.  The family member was contacted and denied any such behavior.  Both parties were advised to stay away from each other.
REPORT OF HARASSMENT:
City - the reporting party claimed someone had threatened her.  Upon further investigation, the officer found the reporting party initiated the conduct.  Both parties were told to stay away from each other.
REPORT OF A BUSINESS ALARM:
The building was checked and found to be secure.
